#4 Signs
Sunday 3/22/26
Today there were all of the signs of a great day. We decided to head to La Jolla without bait, hoping to see surface activity, make our own bait or connect with some fish on the troll. Water temps were around 67 degrees throughout the day. All day we found bait on the surface, and saw a ton of bird activity. Fishing beside the point was looking pretty good! We worked the zone hard all day, but fishing was tough. We managed to get a bonito on the troll around slack tide and then a small mako shark later in the day. It was a beautiful day on the water. Our oceans seem to be full of life right now, and with water temps the way they are, it is really looking like we may have a great season ahead.
