So what is “Beside The Point?”

Beside The Point is a brand created by a family that lives “beside the point” in salty San Diego! We are a company who strive to make timeless, functional and fun apparel. Our products are inspired by the good times we have on the water. We believe it is all about the adventure, everything else is beside the point.

Why the lighthouse?

The lighthouse is a symbol of our home town of Point Loma. Our entire brand reflects our love for fishing.  Whether we are searching the offshore banks for tuna or fishing inshore, the lighthouse always brings us home. The lighthouse represents an iconic symbol of our home for the past 5 generations. Our roots in Point Loma go deep, but that is beside the point…

Who should wear btp products?

Beside The Point Products are made for anyone who loves the outdoors. We live our life “beside the point” of Point Loma, but there are many points all around the world. Even if you are not on the coast, we believe that whatever you do is “beside the point.” In other words, it’s irrelevant, because it is the adventure that matters most.
